Colorful tarantula hawk

Tarantula hawks (family Pompilidae) hunt spiders, paralyze them, then carry them back to their nests and lay an egg on its abdomen. There, the larvae will hatch and devour the spider while it's still alive.

These spiders have amazing color palettes, ranging from shiny black to iridescent greens and blues. Their wings can also be quite colorful.
