A female Chromatopelma cyaneopubescens, also known as the Paraguaná Blue Tarantula (Blue-green tarantula for those english speaking folks)

This is possibly the most visually stunning arachnid I have ever seen!

Taken with a Canon S1 IS with a Raynox DCR-250 super macro lens attached.
f8, 1/60, ISO 50

EDIT: This pic has not been altered in any way, apart from adding the ©. The spider actually has those vibrant colors in real life!

I've got one of these beauties myself, and yes, they DO have such bright colors, and they are really bright after they moult their old exoskeleton. Here in the US we call these "Green Bottle Blue" tarantulas, which is why I prefer to use the scientific names, since those are the same in any language.

I've had that particular tarantula for about four years now. She was a sub-adult when I got her, and still had faint stripes on her abdomen, and her colors were a bit dull, but they've really gotten bright as she's grown up.
